Bless Us . 2015

December 17, 2014 by Admin Leave a Comment

In no time, Singpetra Mission has been going through 2014 with many challenges without hurting. We experienced the faithfulness of the Lord ever more this year as He sent his angels to help us in His time to help us through every hard time. We would like to extend our gratefulness to you for your pureness in responding to the Lord’s voice and be one of our angels! Year end is the time for Christians to count the Lord’s blessing – Thanksgiving season. As for Singpetra Mission, we are deeply moved because as we entered December, we are receiving the blessing of love offering from different regions! This is very important aspect because: 1. Physically, brothers and sisters support the Gospel ministry God entrusted to us. 2. Spiritually, you assured our very step of the Gospel ministry journey; it is an expression of love, encouragement, and strength!

Money is indeed very important for ministry. If we only receive the value of money, we are only working hard for a job. However, the offering from brothers and sisters has deeper meaning altogether. It is the pure love in the Lord. A gift of “love offering” is surely a condition with blessings attached, when used in the Lord’s works (production or Gospel concert), it will give play to the effects of two fish and five loaves, to bless many people with love, faith and hope in multiple times. Hence, whenever we receive the offering from you, we are trembling. For we know that you responded the Lord’s calling and through “dedication” you already give accountability to the Lord, and when we take this offering over, we as the Gospel messenger would need to use it wisely in order to give Him a good account.

We appreciate your love deeply, as it helps us to survive on until today and carry on to spread the Gospel, love, comfort, encouragement, positive messages with different methods. We still need you (and many more brothers and sisters who understand our ministry) in 2015 to support, care, offering and pray for us. We are here to ask in courage that you may be our angel in this season of Thanksgiving. Bless us according to the Lord’s touch upon you and your condition, so that we (and our family members) will have peace of mind, to be prepared physically and spiritually to fight for the Gospel, and fight for the beloved souls of our Lord! Appreciate your love!

Bless Us and Be Singpetra Mission’s Angel in 2014!

November 28, 2013 by Admin Leave a Comment

In a wink, we are in the season of counting the grace of God – Thanksgiving Season! We are grateful, not because we earn big money, nor selling properties in good price, getting the first class in examination or competition, nor travelling abroad. We are grateful because we aware that it is the Lord’s grace and to share the goodness granted by the Lord with others, warming the hearts of people while glorifying and benefit mankind through the life of “It is more blessed to give than to receive”!

Raymond’s wife has a very good Chinese’s traditional virtue – sending gifts. The gifts including presents and love offering. Although we are only a small Gospel organization, and indeed need the support from brothers and sisters; However, we are not being passive in giving. We truly know that if today there is someone bless us with love because they see our needs in their prayer, thus fulfill our shortcoming in our Gospel journey. Hence, we also know that God is putting someone in our prayer so that we can be fulfilling the blessing of doing good, receiving the upgrade of life in the Lord.

Thank God through this practical channel, we receive the Lord’s promises. The Lord bless us abundantly through different levels of people, different channels and different places more than what we simply gave to others. This is one of the fruits of faith.

Singpetra Mission will face two or three months challenges yearly (expenditure more than income). The biggest challenge this year was to have income less than half the expenses in one month. After fulfilling co-workers and children’s need, my wife and I tighten our belts and live on (finding joy in sorrows, treating it as on diet :p). Back then, there were a man and a Gospel organization facing financial crisis. We understand their situation clearly. Therefore, Raymond and wife through prayer with faith, giving the remaining, the only living expenses and distributed, giving a helping hand in time of need. Out of the sudden, we experience the blessing of a simple man. Mother in law once experienced the joy of helping others, how about us by doing so in the name of the Lord? Isn’t this better? Hallelujah!

The sharing above is not self-glorifying but it is an experience and testimony of faith and love. God is so faithful, through this experience, God positions many angels to be around us and giving us help in time of need. This is so touching! Therefore, brothers and sisters, our angels are continuously giving us blessing in this thanksgiving season. Their purpose is clear, to prepare our coming year’s Gospel tour, leaving worries behind and leading people to Christ!

Many brothers and sisters starting to prepare what the Lord called for this season of thanksgiving, to be a channel of blessing, helping the unit or organization that is in need. There are some asked, “Besides money, do you accept assets like properties, cars and so on?! Suddenly see the light that blessing can be so extensive, haha! We really want to thank for their love. We do need to have a place to stay, having transportation to go to work or sharing Gospel and so on. There are some things that can’t be bought by money, for example: a good geographical area, good health, good environment, good conditions… this is a precious will. Thank God!

The blessing that we receive might be different from others, therefore giving out to others might have different ways. Some might receive from the Lord, bonus, good work results, profit through buying and selling and so on financial blessings. Some in the other hand is getting value in their properties or assets: cars, houses, shop lots, land, even machines for productions like camera, music instruments, computers and so on. If it is within your ability, be our angels, bless us so that we may move on for the Gospel. Through money offering, properties offering or any practical channels, let us fulfill the Gospel mission with peace of mind. Let us join in the Lord’s great commission in different positions – sharing out the Gospel.

Lastly, on behalf of Singpetra Mission’s all co-workers, we would like to thank every brother and sister for your love and faith! May the Lord’s blessings poured upon you and your family, making you a blessing to many, Glorifying God and benefit to mankind!

The Lord’s servant,

Bless Us If You Can

June 5, 2013 by Admin Leave a Comment

Happy moment is flashing away. Perhaps the moment of most people is about having great meals and drinks in life?! This, however, is not the way of letting our time past, at least it is not the way for Raymond and servants alike. In reality, time flies like an arrow. Family, ministry, production and so on is consuming every moment and every second is so precious.

Tiredness is just a human nature. The annoying thing is that energy and spirit that has been poured out just like what people who are doing great work and yet the reward is not the same. If it is for the richness, we have long to give our best of time in the money road regardless of what it takes. However, the calling and mission had led us to walk in the road of Gospel. The moment of responding to the calling, Raymond was so clear about the goal for the “lost souls”, motivate the hearts is a flow of life while the luxurious house and car is out of the sight. Hence, we are not aim to get richness.

Ministry is not enterprise. Ministry is putting Gospel first and money second. Enterprise in the other hand is putting priority in finance while charity comes later. That is to say, the support and offering that we get must be properly managed so that the money can be used in the Gospel journey with the best spending possible.

The needs of localized Gospel is getting greater. Raymond and the team “couragely” responded. Localized ministry is not hard but it needs patience. The only element that caused people in the same field to give up in half way is the “surviving” factor. Indeed, Singpetra Mission is facing the finance turnover problem. This year is not an exception – April and May, income is falling short of expenditure!

Weak is human being. Every time when Raymond is facing this situation, will ask in heart, “Why aren’t we an enterprise? If yes, then we have the condition of getting another route of getting money so that we may cover the inadequate part. Should we continue? Why is this suffering?”

Since it is not an enterprise, what then shall ministry look for? It turns out to be what Paul had said, “.. by all possible means I might save some.” That is to ask for more harvest, fulfill the mission! Second, as what Jesus ordered the disciples, “Do not take a purse…When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you…but when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you.” This is the way to survive. As long as there’s still life, the mission will move on! In the same time, we believe the Lord who sends us will greatly bless those who are willing to welcome us and the givers!

After some clean up of mindset, Raymond and team will not spend time in how we should get enough money strategy, or else we might have lose both at the end. Yet, we work hard to do what is related to the Gospel. From evangelistic concert tour, gospel product production to create a field to spread the Gospel for next generation and so on. This is what God called us to do. Therefore, we will stand by in our own position with simplicity, sincerity, and whole-heartedly. May our simplicity and perseverance move the hearts of people, getting the support for the ministry, especially in love offering.

May you be our angels in the beginning of the later half of the year 2013! Let your love offering helps us through and that we may worrying about nothing to move on for Gospel!
Raymond and the team are here to thank you and appreciate you.

Live on to Glorify Lord

March 4, 2013 by Admin Leave a Comment

2012 was a year full of thanksgiving for Raymond and the team because we had gone through magnitude of ups and down. However, we had conquered the adversities through God’s faithfulness!

Firstly, we would like to thank all the pastors, elders, brothers and sisters who love us and sustain our localized culture ministry! By loving us, we mean everyone who intercedes for us, taking initiative to understand our needs and giving us the unselfish financial support. Indeed, it is because of your generous love and support that we are able to live on to 2013!

Inflation is inevitable and this is the fact that pressing us so hard. Printing fees, transportation fees, travelling fees are all shot up. The only unchanged is the offering from majority of church offering. In the advanced age, we are still receiving 100 dollar offering to do evangelistic concert and that was an invitation from Singapore. All meals were paid from our own pocket; travelling fees, tolls and so on were also paid by our own. This was just an examples from many cases and we won’t count it one by one as this will only scares us off to move on. LOL! It is because of these reasons, many are giving up the localized culture ministry and heading towards the high converting currency to do evangelistic meeting. Some are giving up the Chinese ministry and give a new start in English ministry.

The biggest challenge in 2012 is nothing more than our second son – Jaemon Looi (You may refer to the related article : https://www.singpetra.com/blog/2012/07/09/fathers-day-with-jaemon/) When my wife conceived Jaemon in the 5th month, doctor tol us that Jaemon is a cleft lip baby and we could only cried and even blamed ourselves! The body and soul were almost collapsed. I repeated ask myself, “should I move on? Can I still testifying God and glorifying Him?”. God used the the scripture of a man born blind to encourage us. Not only I did not give up, the next week after Jaemon was delivered, I move on for evangelistic concert! After sharing our experience of the second son, we discovered many Chinese (non-believers) and even believers are facing the similar challenge with trembling hearts. God is so gracious to Raymond that He would use Raymond to be His vessel to testify God’s faithfulness. Believers were giving help, non-believers turned their faith to God. The prayer and the love offering of brothers and sisters had helped in Jaemon’s cleft lip first operation (https://www.singpetra.com/blog/2012/10/17/jaemons-treatment-progress-at-4th-month/). God will make those who put their trust in God to be victorious in all circumstances. Hallelujah!

Last year we had to tighten our belts to survive, the reason was because we had many evangelistic concerts were done in medium and smaller churches, the objective was to let them felt the love and care, as well as letting them to have the equal opportunities to bring the friends and relatives to church so that they may turn their faith to the Lord. Therefore, we hope that through the blessings of medium to bigger churches, we will be able to turn them into the help for smaller churches. As the matter of fact, we are limited but the strength of “doing good” is never subsided, why would we stop? We really hope that we can shine for the churches of the Lord especially in this indifferent generation.

“Do you plan to promote some youths?” This is a frequent good question from brothers and sisters. 😀 The answer is “Yes! I Do! but… The process of “promote” is taking many sacrifices including money, energy, time and so on. At the end, we responded to this request, doing our best to let those youths who are passionate in singing to use the gift of good voice God has given them to care for this society! The first phase of activities are reported here: https://www.singpetra.com/asv/. We will do our best to help the youths to fulfil the above mission and glorifying God! Please pray for them so that they may have strong determination and not to give up until the last phase.

We are asking the Lord to teach us and give us wisdom in balancing the life in between the fact and mission/calling. The only principle we have is to continue on for the Gospel sake as long as we are able to sustain our families and ministry! Brothers and sisters, we urge you to multiply your cares for us in 2013. Your offering not only can be our food that fill our stomach, it can be used to fulfil the Gospel ministry, encourage medium to small churches, promoting youths and even more than what we can think of. We love to welcome the new year but in the same time we are facing the the cruel fact of having the old equipments and tools for productions. Your generous blessing will enable us to find the new General to replace the old Veteran, so that we may make many more productions for the Lord.

Finally, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayer and offering. You may support us through the following channels:

Manna in August

November 8, 2011 by Admin

Serving in the Chinese Ministry for over 11 years is really not easy. Almost quit half way through because of the hardship over the years. We have the same challenges facing the real life and experience hardship. Of course, there are time for abundance that excite us but when when we are helpless, will we still continue holding on to the same principles? This will be a great trial instead of challenge! We almost had not enough money for meals.

Raymond asked wife, “Am I useless?!”

Wife answered, “You aren’t serving God and facing the challenges the first time, are you?”

Raymond asked in blaming himself, “I understand but I’m just human. Frankly speakng, should we move on (not many would understand what we are doing even explaining for hundreds times)? They don’t even care!”.

“Are you giving your best on stage?” asked Raymond’s wife.

“Of course!”, Raymond answered, “No matter it is a huge or small service, I’m trembling for we want to do the best for the church and we know that whatever we do, God is watching us.”.

“Are doing it like a walking dead?”, asked Raymond’s wife.

Raymond answered, “Have you forgotten that our principle is to be sincere? We are giving our 100% of effort regardless of the size of the church or despite the offering ranging from RM100 to RM10,000!”.

Raymond’s wife smiled and responded, “What else do you worry about? Have faith in your God! You serve God, God will be responsible to take care of our life!”.

God’s faithfulness truly is upon us in the road of faith! God provided us enough in the August. The blessing from church offering, the generosity of brothers and sisters to purchase the cds and through various of sincere people to bless us as God’s Manna for us! To make it even more beautiful, this testimony really encourages many brothers and sisters in the services. God cares! When we appreciate, God provides His Manna is new every morning! If Jehovah is our Provider, what shall we afraid of?

Whether Raymond serving God in full time or you work in different field, we need sincerity (Giving our best and with love) and faithfulness (hardworking and improve from time to time) to treat our superiors (boss) or subordinates (colleagues). Do everything as for the Lord. There will be disappointment, failure and dismay but as faith, hope, and love principle remains, those who love God will be benefited.

Thank you, Lord for your faithfulness! Thank you brothers and sisters for your prayer! Let’s move on…
