May and June 2011 are somewhat busy for Raymond and the team for Parents Day Evangelistic Concert Tour. We’ve been non-stop sharing and singing for our beloved parents from Penang to Kampar, from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur, from Muar to Johor Bahru to Singapore. Even though the body is tired but God did not only give us abundant joy. He even gave us good fellowship time during the long journey to each destination. God is truly good!
What was unexpected during the tours was that there even had a Youth Evangelistic Meeting! This is something challenging for Raymond himself. Thank God that these youngsters not only like to listen to songs but also are willing to upgrade themselves in personal and spiritual lives. They listened attentively and sang alone. What a beautiful interaction with hope in it! Ephesians 6:2 “Honor your father and mother – Which is the first commandment with a promise. ” This scripture is not unfamiliar to the youths that Raymond quoted for them. Those who are willing to keep His commandment shall truly receive His promised blessings – To enjoy His results for us with long life on earth. Without His blessings, life will bear no fruits and long life will be meaningless. When children loves the Word of God, parents will rejoice!
Muar is an unforgettable little town filled with love for us! Bunch of fruits and tons of self-made food too! A small town with small churches but the love for the Lord is limitless and never take Gospel lightly. In this tour, Raymond portrayed the love of parents through the eighties Taiwanese Movie “Papa, can you hear me sing?”. He also dedicated the theme song of the movie during the tour. There was parents who are mute since birth came to the service and we were told after the service that they were touched and encouraged. As for Raymond who just became a father, was touched by this as the movie and the song which remind us the sacrifices of our parents. The last 2 songs which were “Love” and “The Beautiful Love” melted all the regrets and sadness. They smiled at the end.
There were some funny scenes during the tours. This time around was the 500 seats of dinner! “Raymond, aren’t you not accepting any banquet evangelistic concerts?!” Truly. This time ensured our style doesn’t suit the banquet evangelism. The venue was a car park and therefore Raymond had been sweating even before the meeting started. Perhaps due to miscommunication, the most important part which should not have any meals yet the waitresses present the delicious meats to all our friends (LOL). Thank God for the next morning Sunday Service (not evangelistic meeting) yet there were 3 friends accepted Jesus as their Saviour! Hallelujah!
“Raymond… You improved… Your songs are very special…thank you for blessing us…”. Every word of praise, every encouragement from the smiling faces brought us energy for this tour. Don’t forget to give us encouraging words in FaceBook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Raymond-Looi-雷聖雄/148638355173963 Singpetra Mission would like to thank you for all the brothers and sisters in Christ who gave us the assurance of our ministry.
